Wilbur Shaw was an American race driver and former president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, born on October 31, 1902 in Indiana. He was a three-time winner of the Indianapolis 500 and was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 1992. He was also a successful businessman and was instrumental in the development of the Speedway.
