Thom Mayne is an American architect born in Connecticut on January 19, 1944. He is best known for helping to establish the Southern California Institute of Architecture in 1971 and the Santa Monica-based architectural firm, Morphosis. He has won numerous awards for his work, including the Pritzker Prize in 2005.
