Simon Lessing was a South African triathlete born on February 12, 1971 in Cape Town. He was a four-time ITU World Champion, winning the title from 1992 to 1998. He was also a two-time winner of the Ironman World Championship and a two-time winner of the Ironman 70.3 World Championship. He is considered one of the greatest triathletes of all time.
