Canadian politician who has served as minister of housing, infrastructure and communities since July 26, 2023. He has served as the minister of immigration, refugees and citizenship since October 26, 2021.
In 2006, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree at St. Francis Xavier University. He then studied law at Dalhousie University and at Leiden University in the Netherlands, graduating in 2009.
He was selected as "Best Orator" and was a finalist for "Rising Star" during the 12th annual Maclean's Parliamentarians of the Year Awards.
He and his wife Sarah Burton have a daughter and a son.
