Raoul Wallenberg was a Swedish diplomat who is remembered for his heroic efforts to save the lives of over 100,000 Hungarian Jews during WWII. He issued protective passports and provided housing in Swedish territories, for which he was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal by the United States Congress. Unfortunately, he was killed by the KGB secret police in Moscow over sixty years ago, while he was imprisoned by the communist authorities.
