Omar Bradley was an American general born on February 12, 1893 in Missouri. He is best known for his command of the U.S. Army in North Africa during World War II. He was a highly decorated soldier and was the first Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was also the last surviving five-star general of the United States Army.
