Nicole Maurey was a glamorous French actress born in 1925. She began her career as a dancer, but switched to films in 1944, where she was cast in various heroine roles. She had a brief flirtation with Hollywood stardom in the 1950s, appearing in films such as Little Boy Lost and Me and the Colonel. In the 1960s, she moved to England and appeared in a variety of films, including the classic sci-fi The Day of the Triffids.
