He resigned his positions at HP after an internal investigation on August 6, 2010, uncovered expense-account irregularities. Hurd holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Baylor University. He graduated in 1979 and he played tennis during college at Baylor. During his 25 year career at NCR Corporation, his leadership lead to successful improvement in operating efficiency, supported the product line and built a strong leadership team.
