Manuel Velasco Coello was born on April 7, 1980 in Mexico. He is a member of the Ecological Green Party of Mexico (PVEM) and has served in both the Congress of Chiapas and the Mexican Congress' LIX Legislature. In 2012, he was elected Governor of Chiapas, becoming the youngest governor in Mexico at the time. He has since been re-elected in 2018, and continues to serve as Governor of Chiapas.
