Jonny Sweet is an actor, writer, and producer born in Nottingham in 1985. He attended Nottingham High School and Pembroke College, Cambridge, where he was part of the Footlights Review. He won the best new-comer award for his solo stand-up routine at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He first came to television notice playing prime minister David Cameron in the spoof documentary 'When Boris Met Dave' and appeared in guest roles in youth-orientated sitcoms. In 2011 he created and starred in 'Chickens' and in 2015 he wrote and appeared in the romantic sitcom 'Together' opposite Cara Theobold. He also formed his own production company with Simon Bird, Guilty Party.

Sweet became known for playing posh characters after his role as Future Prime Minister David Cameron in the 2009 More 4 satirical show When Boris Met Dave, which details how Cameron and Mayor of London Boris Johnson first met. He also appeared alongside Alistair McGowan, Adrian Edmonson and Hugh Dennis in Pete and Dud: The Lost Sketches, a revival of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore's works on BBC Two.
