Ivelin Giro is a Cuban-born actress and clothing designer who was born and raised in Havana. She studied theater and folk dance, and later taught dance to younger children. She had her first starring role in the Cuban film La Novia para David and hosted the program Revista de la Mañana Cubana for the Cuban Television Network ICRT Instituto Cubano de Radio y Television. She then became an international model, walking in couture shows for designers Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Chloé, and Valentino. Giro moved to Miami to reunite her family after 10 years of separation and re-launched her acting career with the play Baño de Damas. She has since starred in many television series and films, and co-founded an experimental theatre company called Obstaculo. Giro is also the creator of the organic bamboo underwear line Touche Muah. She is fluent in Spanish, English, Italian, and French, and can also speak different regional accents.
