Yang Chen is a Chinese football player who was born on January 17, 1974 in Beijing, China. He made history when he became the first Chinese player to play in the Bundesliga, signing with Eintracht Frankfurt in 1998. He was recognized for his achievements in 2000 when he was named Footballer of the Year by the Chinese Football Association. After his time in Germany, he returned to China to play for Shenzhen Jianlibao, with whom he won the Chinese Super League title in 2004.
