Australian financial analyst and politician who served in the Tasmanian House of Assembly from 2014 until stepping down in 2022. As part of the Liberal Party of Australia, she was appointed Minister of Education in 2021. In this role, she oversaw the development of a national youth justice reform process.
She studied engineering at the University of Sydney and the University of Melbourne. Before entering politics she worked in sales analysis and business development management.
In September 2009, she founded Fish Hook Wines, a boutique vineyard that grows Pinot Noir in Tasmania. She faced criticism by the Labor and Green parties after contracting COVID-19 on a trip to France in January 2022. Isolating with the virus, she was forced to miss the back-to-school preparations, upsetting her political opponents. She later resigned in February 2022, but denied that it was related to the criticism.
She was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. She married John Wittington in 2020.
