Bollywood leading man who earned Best Actor and Best Film nominations for his role in the 2009 film Love Aaj Kal. His debut film, Parampara, led to his major roles in Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Dil Chahta Hai.
He attended school in Indian and the UK, eventually graduating from Winchester College. His role in Aashlq Awara, which occurred early in his career, earned him the 1993 Filmfare Best Male Debut Award.
