Roman Romanenko was born on August 9, 1971 in Russia and was the third second-generation space traveler. He was the Commander of Soyuz TMA-15, a spacecraft that launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on March 26, 2010. Romanenko spent 166 days in space, during which he conducted experiments and performed spacewalks. He returned to Earth on September 25, 2010.
