She was discovered by ace lensman Atul Kasbekar and was featured in the annual Canon Calendar as one of the 'Most Beautiful Faces of 2006'. Atul described Natasha in the calendar in the following words, "Natasha Suri is a Goddess. She defines the term photogenic. The camera absolutely and totally loves her. She has a perfect hour glass body with singularly the most amazing waistline in the country."

Suri is born, bred and based in Mumbai. She graduated with a bachelor's degree course in Business management from Jai Hind College in Mumbai, receiving the "Jai Hind Achievers" alumnus trophy in 2008. Her mother Radha Rajan Suri, whom she considered to be her backbone and strength, passed away in February 2017. She has two sisters: 1)Rupali Suri, who is a Gladrags megamodel winner, a well established host and theatre actor and 2)Soniya Suri, who is an Entrepreneur. Ethnically she has half Punjabi and half Telugu roots.

In 2016, Suri was listed in Maxim's list of 100 hottest women. She was appointed Tourism Ambassador of Mauritius in 2007, receiving the 'Friends of Mauritius' accolade from the country's Deputy Prime Minister. In 2006 the President of Sri Lanka felicitated her for her role as an Indian ambassador during her tenure as Miss India. In 2012, she was invited as the guest of honour and felicitated at the Seychelles India National parade by the Seychelles government. In 2008, she was conferred upon the 'Pillar of Hindustan' award for her achievements in the fashion & beauty industry.

Suri had debuted as a fashion model at Rome Fashion Week, subsequently modelling at Dubai Fashion Week, Sri Lanka Fashion Week, India Fashion Weeks (Delhi) and Lakme Fashion Weeks(Mumbai). She is a name to reckon with in the fashion industry having walked down the ramp for top designers in innumerable shows. Natasha was appointed as the official green carpet host for IIFA awards 2017' held in New York. Suri is an established name as a live event host too.
