The Medellin Cartel was responsible for nearly 90% of the cocaine that was smuggled into the United States in the 80s and 90s. Her father was caught multiple times, and in the late 80s, he skipped bail and took his family with him on the run. He attempted to work some legal jobs for a few years, but returned to drug smuggling in the early 90s, until he was caught again. George was sentenced to 60 years in jail, but that was later reduced. Kristina Sunshine Jung was separated from her father for most of her life, but reportedly visited him in 2002. She also made a cameo appearance in the movie "Blow", a fictionalized account of George's life starring Johnny Depp. Her scene was ultimately cut, but can be seen in the DVD extras. In the movie Jung was portrayed by Emma Roberts and Jaime King. She currently lives in California with her husband and children.
George Jung is scheduled to be released on Thanksgiving day 2014, that's November 27th. He is incarcerated in Fort Dix, New Jersey. It is unclear whether or not Kristina plans to have a relationship with her father upon his release or whether they have had much of a relationship while he has been incarcerated. The movie implied that they have not had any contact in many years.
