Joachim Rønning is a Norwegian director, producer, and writer born in 1972 in Sandefjord, Norway. Growing up in the eighties, he spent his free time making short films with his dad's home video camera. After attending Stockholm Film School in 1994, he began directing commercials and music videos professionally in Oslo with his childhood friend. His extensive and award-winning work in commercials led to major international commissions. In 2008, he won the Lions in Cannes for his Hydro commercial.
