Most well known for playing Amanda Vale Walters on the popular Australian soap opera Home and Away, Brisley is also recognized for her major roles in the films The Crop (2004) and Devil's Gateway (2007).

She took dance lessons in her early years and went on to sign with the Gold Coast's Studio Search Agency. She made her television debut in the 1993 TV movie The Flood: Who Will Save Our Children? and went on to appear in several episodes of Agro's Cartoon Connection.
