Georgy Shonin was a Russian cosmonaut born on August 3, 1935. He was part of the original group of cosmonauts and flew one space mission. He was the first person to take a space walk and the first to fly a spacecraft with a manual control system. He was also the first to fly a spacecraft with a two-person crew.
