Dick Bruna was a Dutch author and illustrator born on August 23, 1927 in Utrecht, Netherlands. He is best known for his Miffy books, but he also created over 200 other children's books and illustrated more than 2,000 book covers. His work has been translated into over 50 languages and has been enjoyed by generations of children around the world.
