Courtney Walsh was born on October 30, 1962 in Kingston, Jamaica. He was a fast bowler who represented the West Indies in international play for 15 years. During his career, he was the first bowler to reach 500 wickets in Test cricket and was the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket until 2000. He was also the first bowler to take 5 wickets in an innings in both Test and One Day Internationals. He was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in October 2010.
