Christiane Krüger is a German actress and writer born on September 8, 1945 in Hamburg, Germany. She is best known for her role as Marina in Radley Metzger's exploitation cinema classic "Mother" (1973). In the film, Kruger plays a scheming woman who sleeps her way to the top, becoming a TV weather-girl and eventually the wife of a South American politician who becomes President. Krüger's character is the real power behind the throne and her power is so great that other politicians conspire to assassinate her. Krüger has also appeared in English-language roles, including the 1985 TV mini-series Anne of Green Gables (1985).
