Brewster H. Shaw was born on May 16, 1945 in Cass City, MI. He was a former astronaut and U.S. Air Force Colonel who piloted the Space Shuttle Columbia in 1983. He was the first person to fly the Space Shuttle twice and was also the commander of the STS-61B mission in 1985. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Force Commendation Medal for his service.
