Boris Trajkovski was a Macedonian politician who served as the second President of the Republic of Macedonia from 1999 to 2004. Born on June 25, 1956, he spent much of his presidency attempting to reduce tensions between ethnic Macedonians and the country's large Albanian minority. He was committed to finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict and worked to ensure that all citizens of Macedonia were treated equally.
