Andrew Clements is an American writer born on May 29, 1949 in Camden, NJ. He is best known for his debut children's novel, Frindle, which won the Christopher Award and fifteen other literary prizes. He has also written the Pets to the Rescue series, the Jake Drake books, and stand-alone novels such as Lunch Money, Lost and Found, and We the Children.
