Andrei Codrescu is a Romanian-born poet, novelist, essayist, screenwriter, and NPR commentator who was born on December 20, 1946. He is known for his works that explore the Romanian-American experience, as well as his commentaries on contemporary culture. He has been a professor at Louisiana State University since 1984 and is a frequent contributor to National Public Radio.
