Alexander Hamilton was a Founding Father of the United States and a key figure in the early days of the nation. Born in Saint Kitts And Nevis in 1755, he served as the first Secretary of the Treasury and was an aide to George Washington. He was a major contributor to the U.S. Constitution, writing 51 of the 85 Federalist Papers in support of it, and was a participant in the Philadelphia Convention. He was famously killed in a duel to the death with Vice President Aaron Burr in 1804.
