Heather Young is an actress and soundtrack born in Bremerton, Washington, United States on April 19, 2001. She is best known for her regular role as "Betty Hamilton" in the sci-fi two-season cult series, Land of the Giants (1968), produced by Irwin Allen. She also appeared in one episode of The Time Tunnel (1966). Despite her history with sci-fi, Young was selected for these roles due to being one of the last 20th Century Fox contract players. She was not always comfortable with her role in Land of the Giants (1968), but her co-star Don Matheson gave her more to do by handing her some of his lines. Young looked most at home in the second season episode, titled Land of the Giants: The Marionettes (1970). In 1995, the entire living Land of the Giants (1968) cast was interviewed on The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen (1995) TV show, but Young was oddly missing.
