Gustavo Diaz Ordaz was a Mexican politician and President of Mexico from 1964-1970. Born on March 12, 1911, he was a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party. Despite criticism for his role in the 1968 Tlatelolco student massacre, he did sign the 1967 Treaty of Tlatelolco, which prohibited Latin American countries from possessing nuclear weapons.
