Elizabeth Kim is a Korean-American author and journalist born on April 22, 1978 in South Korea. She is best known for her 2000 memoir, Ten Thousand Sorrows: The Extraordinary Journey of a Korean War Orphan, which has been translated into more than ten languages. The book is an autobiographical account of her life as a Korean War orphan.
