Dale Mabry was a United States Army Air Service dirigible aviator born in Florida in 1891. Tragically, he died in 1922 when the Roma, an aircraft he was test piloting, crashed in eastern Virginia. The crash was the worst disaster in the history of American aviation, claiming the lives of 33 people, including Mabry.
