Cuttino Mobley is a retired American basketball player who played for the National Basketball Association for a total of ten years. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he started playing for the Rhode Island Rams while studying at the University of Rhode Island. He was selected by the Houston Rockets during the 1998 NBA draft and went on to play for several teams including the Orlando Magic, the Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Clippers. He led the Clippers to the 2006 NBA playoffs, the first time in nine years, before having to retire early due to Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He was awarded the 'Philadelphia Sports Writers Association Award' the same year. Recently, he has been playing for the BIG3, a basketball league comprising mostly of retired NBA players.
