Byron Scott is a former NBA point guard who was born on March 28, 1961 in Ogden, UT. He is best known for his time with the Los Angeles Lakers during their 'Showtime' era. After retiring from the NBA, Scott went on to become a head coach, first with the New Jersey Nets from 2000 to 2004, then with the New Orleans Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2014, he returned to the Lakers as head coach.
