Former NHL left winger that primarily played for the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals during his 16-year career. He was originally selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1996, however, after he and the Penguins couldn't come to an agreement, he was then taken by the New York Rangers during the 1998 NHL Draft. He has also played hockey professionally in the Russian Kontinental Hockey League.
Prior to his NHL career, he played junior hockey for the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League. He played with the Pats from ages 16 to 20.
He made his official NHL debut while playing against the San Jose Sharks on October 16, 2003. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.
He grew up living with his parents and his siblings in Swift Current, Canada.
