Bent Jensen is the owner and CEO of Linak, a Danish company founded by his grandfather in 1907. Jensen joined the company in 1976 with an idea for a new product, the linear actuator, which converts power into linear motion and is used in industrial equipment, furniture and healthcare equipment such as hospital beds. Linak began selling the devices in 1979 and in the mid-1980s began manufacturing electronic control boxes as well. Today, the company has factories in Denmark, the U.S., China and Slovakia.
