Arthur Irving, born in 1930 in Saint John, Canada, is the majority owner of Irving Oil, which operates gas stations and oil refineries. He and his brothers inherited the business from their father, K.C. Irving, and divided it up after his death in 1992. His brother James Irving also owns a conglomerate that includes shipbuilding and forestry, while the late John Irving owned part of Irving Oil.
