Antonio Machado was a Spanish social realist poet born on July 26, 1875 in Seville, Spain. He was part of the Generation of '98 and is best known for his works Soledades and Campos de Castilla, published in 1903 and 1912 respectively. His later works include Nuevas Canciones and Juan de Mairena.
