Daniels earned Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year honors during his senior season with the team. The Vancouver Grizzlies drafted Daniels with the fourth overall pick during the first round of the 1997 NBA Draft. He played one season in Vancouver before he was moved to the San Antonio Spurs from 1998 until 2002, the Portland Trail Blazers from 2002 until 2003, the Seattle SuperSonics from 2003 until 2005, and the New Orleans Hornets from 2008 until 2009.
