Antoine Bournonville was a French-born Ballet Master of the Royal Danish Ballet, born on May 19, 1760. He is remembered for his performances with the Royal Swedish Ballet, and is credited with introducing the Romantic style of ballet to Denmark. He is also remembered for his choreography, which is still performed today.
