After appearing in the 1983 film Scarface, Salazar largely disappeared from films for a decade, only appearing in a documentary in 2002. He reappeared in 2003 in the films Harlem Blues and Vote for Me, and then again in 2005 with Rose Woes and Joe's. He then vanished for two more years, appearing in a documentary in 2006 and then reappearing in 2007 with Made in Brooklyn. He then disappeared for two more years, reappearing in 2009 with the short film Trust Me and then in 2010 with the short film Crumble. He returned to films in 2011 with The Last Gamble, and has two complete films coming out in 2012.
